UGC NET Practice Tests 1.4

The University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) serves as a crucial national examination aimed at selecting candidates for the roles of Assistant Professor, or for both the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor positions, within Indian universities and colleges. Prior to June 2018, this examination was administered by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on behalf of the UGC. However, since December 2018, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has taken over the responsibility of conducting the UGC NET exam.

The NTA was established by the Government of India as a premier autonomous organization tasked with overseeing entrance examinations for admissions and fellowships in higher educational institutions. This agency is also responsible for administering several significant assessments, including the UGC NET, JEE Main, NEET, CMAT, and GPAT.
